Bus Ministry

Luke 14:23 "And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." This is a wonderful ministry that strives to fulfill the command of our LORD. We currently have three bus routes that operate in West, Central, and East Long Beach and in Wilmington. These routes operate on Sunday morning and arrive in time for the 10:00 morning service. Children between ages 5 and the 8th grade have their own classes at that time that are geared specifically for them. The busses depart the church between 11:30 and 12:00pm. We also operate an adult shuttle van for Sunday morning and evening services. If you would like more information or a pickup, please call the number below before 8:00am on Sunday.

Language Ministries

Revelation 7:9 "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;" God is no respecter of persons, and neither is First Baptist Church. We have ministries and services in several languages including Cambodian, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, and Deaf.

Music Ministry

In Psalm 81:1, the Bible says: "Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob." We thank God that we have the opportunity to give praise to God. The music ministry at First Baptist Church allows one to do just that, and be a blessing to others. We normally have choir specials during each service, plus music specials during the time of Resurrection Sunday and Christmas. We have music ministries that serve the Spanish, Cambodian, and Korean speaking congregations, also.
