Enrollment Information

Please contact the School Office for all questions regarding enrollment.

Admission Procedure

  1. Complete and return an Enrollment Application packet for each child to be enrolled or re-enrolled, along with the appropriate fee. The application fee is non-refundable
  2. Both parents and students should read the Student Handbook. This will answer most questions. Do not sign the enrollment form until you read and understand the Student Handbook.
  3. Read and sign all other various forms supplied by the school.
  4. All curriculum/book fees MUST BE PAID IN FULL before the child will be issued any books.
  5. All students must be immunized according to the California Department of Education Immunization Standards and parents must supply the school with a copy of the immunization records. NOTE: L.A. County requires chickenpox vaccination and a Mantoux TB skin test prior to entrance to Kindergarten and First Grade.
  6. All transcripts from previous schools must be requested by filling out the appropriate request form at the time of registration.

Children are not denied enrollment to First Baptist Church School because of below-grade level achievement scores. However, if it is felt that a child requires additional specialized assistance, the parents may be given a referral to an appropriate service or the student will be placed in the proper grade level. A child may be denied admission if the transcripts reveal that the student has a prior discipline problem.

Parental/Student Agreement

All parents and each Junior and Senior High student will be expected to sign a cooperation statement pledging their support of the school's program before the child is admitted to school. Any student who does not agree with the direction of the school will not be admitted or will be asked to withdraw.

Learning Disabled

FBCS does not have a specialized program for learning disabled students. We do, however, accept a few students with learning problems if FBCS can provide for these students' needs without a specialized program.

Re-enrollment Procedures

Students who are re-enrolling must do so earlier than general registration in order to guarantee acceptance. No student has the right to re-enroll. Application packets must be filled out each year and the application for re-enrollment will be approved at the sole discretion of the Administration.
